New growth on a Pinguicula vulgaris.
Another photo from today:
I noticed this rainbow on the kitchen floor, it was made by sunlight refracting through a small aquarium in the kitchen, I posted it because it may never happen again, it's just one of those unique moments in time, it was gone moments after the shot was taken.

The hood of a Cobra Lilly, Darlingtonia californica. The light patches are windows that help lure insects inside the hood from where escape is almost impossible. The insects will eventually fall into water within the hollow stem of the plant where microorganisms and bacteria breakdown the insect bodies to provide nutrients for the plant.
